Description
Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, Baystate Children's Hospital, three community hospitals and the region's largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
• Housed in the Dept. of Pediatrics, our Genetics program provides care for patients across the lifespan. The program includes pediatric genetics, reproductive genetics and genetic counseling, cancer genetics and genetic counseling (Family Cancer Risk program), adult genetics, and our nationally recognized lysosomal storage disorders program.
• Join our Chief of Genetics, five genetic counselors, a care coordinator and an MA who practice in our outpatient pediatric specialty center in Springfield, MA. We also provide an inpatient consult service.
• Faculty appointment at UMass Chan Medical School- Baystate. Our clinical educators foster an environment of educational excellence through direction of our resident elective and lecturing to residents and med students.
• Qualifications: BE/BC Medical Genetics. Excellent mentorship available.
• Our compensation package consists of a base salary of between $200,000- $220,000 (based on 1.0 FTE, experience level and qualifications) and annual incentive bonus opportunities.
