Summary
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) - a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval - award amount (up to $200 -000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.
Duties
- NOTE: This is a multi-discipline recruitment that will result in the hiring of one of the following disciplines: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- All Nurse Practitioners applicants should apply to posting: CBTD-12983888-26-LD There are 2 positions located in Primary Care Service
- One position is located at the Manchester VA NH location
- One position is located in Women's Health at the Portsmouth NH VA CBOC location
- Both positions are full-time at 40 hours per week
- VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package
- Duties include - but are not limited to: Provides comprehensive care for Veterans for a panel size of approximately 900 patients or same-day access Perform initial histories and physical examination on outpatients Provide ongoing outpatient care for assigned patients Screen outpatients to determine the need for further care Prescribe medications within the defined scope of practice Order diagnostic studies such as laboratory tests - x-rays - and electrocardiograms
- Review need for and order health promotion and disease prevention measures Initiate - respond to and expedite request for consultations - special tests - and studies Provide education and counseling of patients and families in preventive care - medical conditions - and use of prescribed treatments and drugs Serve as a preceptor for PA residents and students as requested Work Schedule: Full time - Monday- Friday 7:30am-4:00pm Compressed/Flexible: Not authorized Telework: Not authorized
