Clinical Health PsychologistDivision of Behavioral Medicine, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology
The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at an academic university hospital invites applications for a Clinical Health Psychologist to join our well-established Division of Behavioral Medicine, a unique and nationally recognized division housed within OBGYN that has been in continuous existence for over 30 years.
We are seeking a psychologist committed to excellence in clinical care for women across the reproductive lifespan. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering evidence-based, compassionate outpatient care focused on women's health, sexual health, and reproductive health within a collaborative, interdisciplinary academic environment.
Clinical Focus
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience and interest in one or more of the following areas:
- Infertility and assisted reproductive technologies
- Perinatal and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders
- Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD)
- Management of perimenopausal and postmenopausal symptoms
- Female sexual dysfunctions across the lifespan
Academic Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is outpatient clinical care within the Department of OBGYN. As part of an academic medical center, additional responsibilities include:
- Teaching and supervision of OBGYN and psychiatry residents, as well as medical students
- Participation in interdisciplinary education and clinical conferences
- Opportunities for clinical research, is encouraged for candidates with interest in scholarly activity
Appointment and Rank
Appointments are available at the rank of Clinical Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic record.
Environment
The Division of Behavioral Medicine is a long-standing, integrated part of the Department of OBGYN, offering a collegial and supportive environment that values clinical excellence, innovation, and mentorship. The psychologist will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing women's health care.
Education
- Degree PHD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology and Ohio License eligible( with an unrestricted license (Required)
- Appointment with CWRU SOM at the level commensurate with experience (Required)
